Five million square miles of arctic tundra lie
northward of most people living on our planet.
The ungulates dwell there, and bears, with fish swimming below and
birds above, and
the surface of the deep blue sea
covers one hundred and thirty-nine million more
of those square miles that are safe,
the ones uninhabited by humans.
Latitude by longitude, if
were to place himself on the grid
it would be
in the crosshairs,
where the cruelest of
preachers and politicians
cannot see him.
He has gone before us
above and below us
nailed between the heavens
and the earth.
I think there might be flowers growing on stars today.
It all will begin again.
It would take seventy five quadrillion earths lined up in a row to
reach across our galaxy.
